Raised in Lyon, France, Daniel was fortunate to grow up on his mother’s wonderful home cooking. Sharing recipes with neighbors and relatives his mother prepared everything from scratch using only the freshest ingredients from the local markets. Home cooked meals were the heart of family life with recipes from Italy, France and the Middle East. It wasn’t until Daniel moved to California as an adult that he realized what a fabulous cook his mother had been and how lucky he had been to be exposed to such a broad variety of culinary arts. Taking advantage of the wide selection of fresh foods available in the Bay Area, Daniel continuously experiments and perfects his cooking style.
